A BUYER

via here

She works as a buyer in NYC.
I want to work as a buyer, too.
And Filipa would die for such a job.
What do you exactly do as a buyer?

IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE?

Hello everybody,
I have just come back from work and late grocery shopping, tired as a dog and all cranky.
It was nearly 10 o'clock at night  when I sat in front of my computer to unwind, scrolling my fave blogs,
when I realized there was an unusual number of visitors on these pages.

the BOOK that might HELP ME

Perfectly Kept House is the Sign of A Misspent Life:

How to live creatively with collections,

clutter, work, kids, pets, art, etc...

and stop worrying about everything being perfectly in its place.

Just found an email - advert from the Amazon for this book.

How did they know I need it?
Should I buy it?
Would it help me?
How come this book haven't caught my attention before?

This is the book description:

TRENDS and OVERDOSE

I think I might have had an overdose of interior design blogosphere.
I've gone through so many blogs recently, especially Scandinavian  blogs
and I feel as I 've been stuffing myself with great amounts of the most wonderful cake.
I got sick.
As much as I was drooling over simple white and black Scandi interiors in the beginning,
to see just one more perfect, stylish Scandi interior
makes me, sort of nauseous.
It seems that every second female person in Norway, Holland, Sweden or Denmark  writes a blog.
I imagine an army of trendy, creative women, proud of their homes and lifestyle,
styling their houses and taking hundreds of photos
which then they hurry to put on their blogs.
I imagine them as an army of painters, painting their worlds on blog canvases,
each day a brush stroke.
Or an army of chirping birds, tweeting about their worlds,
inspiring the rest of us with the beauty of their worlds and vision.
Anyway, why is that so that women, in aforementioned countries,
have the passion of styling their homes
and showing them off to the rest of the world?
They have mastered this art to perfection.
But after having seen so many Scandi interiors,
you can not help to notice that they are all much alike.
You've seen one trendy scandi house, you've seen them all.

Big eyes are watching you from everywhere.

To ease the perfection and black and white sterile atmosphere,
there are some pink accents here and there.
And wishy -washy tapes as an element of casual fun.
Andy Warhol posters.
Big letters.
Hanging bulbs.

So, these are just some of the trends and styling ideas
that have gone viral throughout the interior blogosphere in nordic countries.
Want to put an Andy Warhol poster on the wall???

MEN'S BLOGS

Just the other day I was wondering whether the blogs about lifestyle and home decor are reserved for women and written by female population only. Are there any cool guys blogging about nice interiors and such stuff?
And right now I've stumbled upon Mr. Bazaar who introduces himself like this:

Hello you!
Thanks for coming by to check out Bright.Bazaar. I'm a young guy from the UK in my twenties who kinda has a thing for colour. I know, you'd never guess. You only have to show me a yellow vase and I'll go weak at the knees. When I'm not writing or styling for shelter magazines, I'm usually found here, kicking about in my favourite pair of blue Converse and having a bit of a natter about all things bright in interiors. Hopefully we can swap design tales over a colour cocktail soon, or perhaps keep each other company as we tour a fun little home?

Either way, it's lovely to see you.

Mr.Bazaar aka, Will.

On his blog there are links to some other men's blogs! Bingo!
REUB ENVISION , HAPPY INTERIOR BLOG, DESIGN MAZE, THE MAGICAL CHRISTMAS WREATH, , SEEN AND LIKE, WHAT WILSON WANTS, OLD BRAND NEW, ....

Must explore these blogs to see if men bloggers are more similar to us, women,  or... I can't imagine my husband seriously talking about the color of the cushion that goes so well with the wall color... he couldn't care less. So, it's nice for a change to get to know some of the male population who care and are interested to share their thoughts about design and little details that make our lives more beautiful. And Mr. Bazaar is even passionate about it.

Japanci i električni vodovi

While surfing this site and looking at all the nice modern houses in Japan, it really annoyed me that the streets are full of electric poles and electric/telephones wires are spanning the sky around every single house.
Aren't they supposed to be a technologically advanced nation?
Can't they hide these ugly wires and cords somewhere underground,
instead of letting them block every nice view?

Googled a bit and found one of the possible answers here.

A tek ova divota, okružena električnim vodovima.....
